#1.......TILE ART.............All tiles are hand-painted and individually hand-picked for best quality. They are
less densely compacted so that colored glazes can penetrate deep into the tile & never fade. Each artist uses
special glazes to outline the design of the tile. Next, specific glaze colors are applied to each section of the tile.
Then the tiles are put into a firing oven. The tiles are baked at 1060 degrees C. The whole baking process
takes about 24 hours. Tiles come with cork backing and two wall-hanging loops. For small projects the cork
can be water-soaked off. For extensive architectural work, tile may be ordered without backing. Since these
pieces are so stunningly beautiful they could easily be incorporated into wall work, woodwork, cabinetry
or any custom design work you might envision without looking hackneyed. Please allow approx. 2-3 weeks
for delivery.
